How to Play Dagger in Albion Online

"Daggers are the ultimate assassins of Albion Online. They focus on stealth, extreme mobility, and massive execute damage. Whether it's the mobility of the Bloodletter or the stalking pressure of the Deathgivers, dagger players live on the edge, looking for the perfect moment to strike."

⚖️

Pros and Cons

Advantages

  • Highest execute potential (Bloodletter)
  • Unmatched mobility and escape ability
  • Strong stealth mechanics
  • Terrifying in 1v1 and ganking scenarios

Disadvantages

  • Extremely squishy base stats
  • High risk, high reward playstyle
  • Struggles in large-scale group fights
  • Combos require perfect timing
💡

Gameplay Tips

  • 1

Save your Bloodletter E for targets below 40% health to guarantee the execute.

  • 2

Use Chain Slash (W) for both damage and as an extra dash for mobility.

  • 3

Master "Ghost Step" or stealth to drop aggro and reposition mid-fight.

  • 4

Don't be afraid to leave a fight and wait for cooldowns; you are an assassin, not a brawler.

Weapon Variants

Bloodletter

Execute & Extreme Mobility

The most mobile weapon in Albion. Its E (Lunging Stabs) deals massive damage if the target is below 40% health. It is the premier weapon for open-world gathering, ratting, and executing low-health targets in ZvZ.

Deathgivers

1v1 High Skill Cap

A highly difficult weapon that relies entirely on Assassin Spirit charges. When fully stacked, the E (Ghost Strike) deals massive damage, turns you invisible, AND resets its own cooldown. A master Deathgiver player is terrifying in a 1v1.

1h Dagger

PvE & Niche 1v1

Activates an aura (Bloodthirsty Blade) that adds massive damage and incredible lifesteal to your auto-attacks. It is mostly used to solo high-tier PvE bosses, but can easily cheese inexperienced PvP players.

Claws

Ganking Lockdown

The ultimate ganking weapon. The E (Disembowel) roots the target and channels a flurry of strikes. Paired with a Fiend Cowl to purge their sprint, it guarantees the victim cannot escape.

Recommended Passives

Assassin

Increases your damage significantly after landing 4 auto-attacks. Since Daggers rely on burst rather than prolonged fights, this is excellent for stacking damage before dropping your E.

Deep Cuts

Applies a bleed on auto-attacks. Good for prolonged 1v1 fights in the Mists if you are playing a brawling setup (like Deathgivers).

Detailed Combos & Tactics

The Bloodletter Execute

1

Use Dash (W) to reposition or close the gap on a low health fleeing target.

2

Activate Stalker Hood to reveal them if they try to stealth, and reduce their defenses.

3

Aim Lunging Stabs (E) perfectly. If they are below 40% health, they will take massive execution damage and likely die instantly.

The Invisible Assassin (Deathgivers)

1

Constantly maintain 3 stacks of Assassin Spirit (Q).

2

Use Ghost Strike (E) to deal heavy damage. Because you had 3 stacks, the cooldown resets and you enter stealth.

3

While stealthed, reposition behind the enemy and immediately use Shadow Edge (W) to stun them.

4

Follow up with a second Ghost Strike (E).
