Battle Comparison
Core Identity
Cursed Staff is a caged-target executioner: lock, drain, kill. Arcane Staff is a repositioning tool: blink allies in or out and freeze space itself.
Control Type
Cursed Staff silences and cages one target hard. Arcane Staff freezes an area, denying movement to everyone caught in it, friend or foe.
Sustain
Cursed Staff heals off the damage it deals, giving it real solo staying power. Arcane Staff has almost no self-sustain; its value is entirely utility.
Group Utility
Arcane's teleport can save a diving teammate or reposition your whole team mid-fight, which Cursed simply cannot offer. Cursed contributes by deleting the enemy's most dangerous piece instead.
Solo Play
Cursed Staff is a legitimate solo ganker thanks to its lifesteal and hard lock. Arcane Staff struggles alone since its best tools are built to help other people, not win a 1v1 by itself.
Learning Curve
Cursed rewards patient target selection: pick the right victim and the cage does the rest. Arcane rewards timing and map awareness: freezing the right chokepoint or blinking the right ally at the right second is a much harder read.
"Which one should you pick?"
Cursed Staff locks a single target down and drains them dry, making it the better pick when your job is to remove one priority target from the fight entirely. Arcane Staff is built around repositioning: teleporting allies out of danger, freezing a chokepoint, and enabling your own team's engage rather than winning the 1v1 itself. If you want to feel directly responsible for kills, take Cursed. If you want to be the reason your team survives long enough to win the fight, take Arcane.
